Mercer University's Center for Collaborative Journalism allows students to spend four semesters with different local news organizations. These practicum experiences gave us real opportunities to get published. One of my favorite semesters was spent with GPB Macon, in Spring 2017. I produced three stories that ran on the air and learned the ins and outs of audio recording and editing.
